Meet the voices behind the WNC Heartbeat Podcast! Ali and Anna both live in Spring Creek, NC and serve on the board of directors at the Spring Creek Community Center, where they also contribute on the communications committee, among many other committees (don’t even get us started).
Meet Ali
✨ Ali is a full-time content creator, hobby farmer, and animal lover. Originally from Canada, she moved to WNC with her husband and twin daughters in 2022 and, in her words, “will never leave”. You can follow her at @prettysweetacres, where she shares her life: running in Spring Creek (sometimes with her goats), homeschooling, practicing chicken math, hyperfixating on sourdough, rescuing stray dogs and cats, and renovating her 1870s farmhouse. ✨ Anna is a community-centered creative, storyteller, and mom. She grew up in the bustle of the suburbs of Chicago and spent summers in rural northern Michigan; after years of adventure, rooted herself in Western North Carolina with her husband Joe and daughter Amelia. dreaming up ways to make everyday life a little more beautiful and connected. She’s endlessly curious, fueled by good conversation, and the joy of nurturing her family and friends. Anna believes deeply in the strength and spirit of her community and is thrilled to bring those stories to life through this podcast.
